Shriram EPC bags two water supply orders in Jharkhand

New Delhi : Chennai-based Shriram EPC has secured two water supply contracts valued at Rs 225.71 crore in Jharkhand. The annoucement of the two orders comes just one month after the company said it had bagged a major order worth Rs 236 crore in the state from its Drinking Water & Sanitation Department.

The first of the recent order has been secured from the Jharkhand Urban Infrastructure Development Company and is for augmentation and strengthening of Dhanbad Water Supply Scheme (Phase-1) under the Dhanbad Municipal Corporation.

The scope of the project includes DI pipeline works of 405 km, eight elevated water reservoirs, house service connections to the tune of 55425. The value of the contract is Rs 166.16 crore.

The company said the project is to be executed in 33 months with three months of trial run, followed up by operation and maintenance period of five years.

The second contract secured by the company is for water supply system for Khunti Nagar Panchayat on design, build and operate (DBO) basis.

The scope of the project includes DI pipeline supply and laying of 132 km construction of 16 million litre per day (MLD) water teatment plant (WTP), construction of intake well, construction of three elevated service reservoirs, house service connection for 8350.

The value of the contract is Rs 59.55 crore. The company said the project is to be executed in 24 months, followed by operation and maintenance period for five years.
